Inflatable Camping Tents

A camping tent is a perfect companion when you go out on a camping trip.  It is very important that you bring them because it will help you have fun and let you stay safe when you’re out in the wild.

There are actually so many kinds of tents out there.  One of which is the inflatable camping tent.  Inflatables are of choice among people who want the  lightweight and easy to set up.  This is an advantage because inflatable tents are durable because of the materials used to make it and it can withstand harsh weather conditions.

However, there are disadvantages to bringing inflatable tents.  They tend to be more at risk to being split by rocks, sticks or other debris.  Just in case this happens, you always have to bring proper provisions on how to fix the holes without replacing the tent with a new one or without having an option to sleep on the ground.  When you are out on a camping trip, make sure that you bring a repair kit for your tent.  This way, you will be ready to repair any problem that may occur.

Another way to avoid mending a broken tent is to test it before you leave.  For example, you’re bringing the inflatable tent for the weekend.  Then you have to find time to test it during the weekdays.  Find time to test it for leaks before you head out to the woods.

Remember, before you are able to fix the hole in your inflatable tent, you should know where the hole is.  You should know where the leak is coming from!  This is particularly challenging when the hole you are trying to cover is pretty small.  A tip could be is fill it with cold soapy water.  From there, you will know instantly where the hole is and you will know what it is you need to fix.

After you find the hole, mark that hole with tape or a felt pen just for you to easily know where the hole is when you remove the water.  Then put on solvent to the plastic patch which is found in your repair kit.  This patch should be covering the hole and all edges of it.

Once the hole is sealed, immediately apply a little more solvent and make sure it’s completely dry before you inflate it again to test it.  Now see if your inflatable tent works!
